The ECAC’s work extends beyond its formal membership through collaboration with additional key partners, including:
All publicly funded early childhood-serving agencies and entities are partners of the SC Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC), participating in and supporting its functions as outlined in state law.
ECAC member agencies providing services to young children include: the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Offices of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health, Department of Education, Department of Public Health, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Social Services, Children’s Trust of South Carolina, and the state’s Head Start Collaboration Office. SC First Steps is responsible for coordinating the activities of the Council.
